Caulfield

Project Overview & Consultation

This extension in Caulfield involved building an ensuite to the dead side of this house. It had been a dream for our client to have an ensuite and High Level Homes brought the dream to life! Features of this stunning space include the huge skylight in the middle of the bathroom, the large niche, strip lighting, under floor heating and my absolute favourite, the vanity bench top which is a piece of the old Mornington pier!

Concept & Design

This job was designed by Plicon Design Studio, an architectural firm based in Melbourne. We were engaged after the plans were finalised, however once we got into the construction side of things we made some changes to the design to make the space a bit more liveable and user- friendly. We added a large niche and made the window smaller to provide more privacy. We then added a beautiful big skylight so we didn’t lose any natural light. We also added some nice features like under tile heating to take the chill off your feet in those cold winter months!

Project Management

Although this was a small extension it was an extremely complex! Sandwiched between the boundary and the neighbouring property’s garage, our team worked effectively around the confined space to create a stunning outcome for the client. We love nothing more than a challenge!

This project ran for approximately 9 weeks including 4-5 weeks to get the foundations and slab laid, and to get all services, the walls, external cladding and roof on. The inside works were completed within another 4 weeks.
